'X-Men: Days Of Future Past' | Final Trailer

This is exactly the type of trailer that this film has been needing. We finally get an awesome display of various mutant powers, and understand that the stakes are higher than they have ever been. I’m still worried that Bryan Singer is juggling an awful lot for one film. Not only is this film going to try and retcon the mistakes made in ‘X-Men: Last Stand’ so that FOX can make X-Men films in the present timeline, but it’s also going to set a new status quo for the ‘First Class’ franchise. This is also all on top of trying to tie into the pre-existing X-Men films and set-up ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ (which will be another alternate timeline story based on the ‘Age of Apocalypse’ story). That’s so much for one movie to handle.

What I want most from this movie is for it to retcon the deaths of Jean Grey (Famke Janssen) & Cyclops (James Marsden). Somehow they undid the death of Professor X between ‘Last Stand’ & ‘The Wolverine’. Jean & Scott are a critical part of the X-Men franchise, and hopefully they have realized that now in hindsight of killing them off.

I’m truly excited for this film, but slick visuals won’t save this film unless it has a solid story that makes people care about these characters again.

Bonus points to this movie if it can explain how Nicholas Hoult turns into Kelsey Grammar.
